CENTRAL CITY – David Wayne Fields, 58, of Central City, died Monday, February 19, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Mr. Fields was born January 17, 1966, in Hartford. He was a master carpenter and master journeyman, and a member of Nelson Pentecostal Church. Mr. Fields was a member of the Muhlenberg Central High School Class of 1984. He loved being outdoors – hiking, fishing, 4-wheeler riding, horseback riding, and playing softball and kickball with family and friends. He was life-long fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Kentucky Wildcats. He enjoyed spending time with his children and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Eva fields; brother, Kevin Fields; and grandparents, John and Lillie Fields, and Shelby and Ann Wilson.
He is survived by his daughters, Jayme (Landon) Atcher of Central City and Haley Harper of Greenville; grandchildren, Carter Atcher, Collin Harper, and Madilynn Atcher; sister, Lorie Fields of Hartford; brother, Ricky (Angela) Fields of Central City; aunts, Jo Fields of Central City and Frances (Paul Sr.) Uzzle of Nelson Creek; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Paul Uzzle Jr. officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 10:00AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
