GREENVILLE – David “Chick” Hudson, 71, of Greenville, died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 9:16AM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Hudson was born March 2, 1941 in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired coal miner and member of Mercer Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Hudson; and parents, G. Herschel and Gladys Hudson. Survivors include his wife, Delorice Embery Hudson; son Jamie Udell Hudson of Greenville; daughters Shelia Carver and fiance’ Andy Herring of White Plains, Crystal Green of Bremen, and Kimberly Hudson of Greenville; step-sons Chris (Stacy) Browning of Greenville and Patrick Browning of Greenville; grandchildren David Carver, Tanya Baugh and Mike Hafley, Jessica VonRoenn, Drew Hollis, Kalin Hunt, Drew Anne Herring, Preston Browning, Parker Browning, and Alanna Browning; and great-grandchildren Reagan Hafley, Riley Hafley, Libby Hafley, Colton Carver, and Cooper Carver. Funeral services will be Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11:00AM at Mercer Baptist Church in Powderly, with Rev. James Branscum officiating. Burial in Briar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday after 5:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Mr. Hudson will lie in state at Mercer Baptist Church on Monday from 10-11AM.
