David C. Campbell 1/15/2009 CENTRAL CITY — David C. Campbell, 82, of 121 South 4th St., Central City, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Muhlenberg County. He was born Feb. 19, 1926, in Texas. He worked at Illinois Central Railroad and was a plumber. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a deacon and a former treasurer. He was a member of Central City Housing Authority. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe Campbell; his parents, Neil Campbell and Edna Campbell; and a sister, Mary Lee. Survivors include his wife, Arlene Lee Campbell of Central City; two sons, Bobby Campbell and Jeff Campbell, both of Paducah; five grandchildren, Jack Campbell, Mike Campbell, Cathy Nolen, Jennifer Bryant and Colby Campbell, all of Paducah; three great-grandchildren, Chelsea Bryant, Trevor Nolen and Rhyland Nolen; two brothers, Charles Campbell of Caneyville and Hugh Thomas Campbell of Paducah; and a sister, Ida Mae Miller of Hartford. Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating, assisted by the Rev. Roger Skipworth. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
