BELTON – Dariel Newman Wester, 75, of Belton KY, died Sunday, September 4, 2011 at 1:15 a.m. at his home surrounded by members of his family. Mr. Wester was born October 7, 1935 in Muhlenberg County. He worked as a coal miner and then a lumberjack before moving his family to Chicago IL in 1964 where he worked as a machinist for Dietzgen Company. He and his wife Joyce moved back to Muhlenberg County in 1977 where he again worked in the coal mines and logging, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Mud River Union Baptist Church and then Penrod Missionary Baptist Church. Dariel loved to watch his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports. He loved to watch baseball. He loved to hunt. He loved to bushhog his land. But more than any of that, he loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Marie Wester; three children, Virginia (Fred) Walker of Baroda MI, Vickie (Carl) LaBarbera of White GA, and Ric (Barb) Wester of Belton KY; eight grandchildren, Mike (Heather) LaBarbera, Jill (Cale) Crowder, Rick (Kelly) LaBarbera, Abby (Steven) Scott, Caryn (Jason) Faulkner, Sam Walker, Sara (Dan) Terrill and Rose Walker; nine great-grandchildren, Cole, Brevin and Kyleigh Scott, Hannah and Emily Crowder, Averie and William LaBarbera, Graylon LaBarbera and Wade Faulkner; sisters, Lorene Jenkins and Beatrice Hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Blanche and Arvin Wester and brothers, Charles Wester and David Wester. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Tucker Beechmont, Funeral Home in Beechmont, with Bro. Steve Rutherford officiating the services. Burial will be in Mud River Union Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, September 5, 2011 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM and Tuesday, September 6 after 9:00 AM at the funeral home.
