Charles Wallace Whitmer 10/17/2008 CENTRAL CITY — Charles Wallace Whitmer, 72, of Central City died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008. He was a graduate of Bremen High School, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retired owner, equipment operator and mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond C. and Shellie M. Whitmer; and a sister and brother-in-law, Dortha and Howard Dossett. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gertrude Ann Cyphert Whitmer; sons Evan Whitmer and Paul Whitmer, both of Bremen; daughters Sue (DeWayne) Reynolds of Sacramento, Rosie (Bobby) Campbell of Bremen and Amy (Troy) McDonald of Central City; grandchildren Blaine Whitmer, Brock Whitmer, Aiden Markwell, Kadi Sue Shelton, Hannah Reynolds, Elliot Reynolds, Blake Campbell, Ross Campbell, Nikki Miller Holskey, Mason Whitmer, Sarah McDonald, Ally McDonald and Bengy McDonald; and great-grandchildren Alyssa Whitmer, Lydia Holskey and Jolie Holskey. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bremen with the Rev. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Bremen.
