GREENVILLE – Charles Everette Porterfield, 84, of Greenville, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Porterfield was born December 23, 1931, in Steele, Missouri. He was owner of Chuck’s Restaurant, and was of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He loved playing golf, fishing, and was a passionate UK basketball and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He loved to watch birds, and especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Mary Ethel West Porterfield; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Porterfield; children Randy Charles Porterfield of Greenville, Sandy (Keith) Redfern of Greenville, Keith Everette (Deanna) Porterfield of Gallatin, TN, and Charles Evert (Shannon) Porterfield of Fredonia; grandchildren Paul, Kelly Jo, Andrew, Ryan, and Amanda; great-grandchildren Isaac, Maycee, and Christian; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, October 10, 2016, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Steve McElvain officiating. Burial in Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
