Sarge you were like brother to me. Always there for me and anyone else. Mike is one the most honest men I've ever met. Sometimes it may not be what you want to hear but it was honest. It really saddens me that we didn't have the chance to see each other for so many years but you always remained close in my heart. I learned so much from you. Thank you my old friend for putting me under your wing. We worked together for 15 plus years and I enjoyed every day of it. Rest in peace my dear friend,my brother. I love ya Hoss
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Mike has been a friend of mine for some 33 years now, beginning with our service in the Central City National Guard. He and I were very different, but shared a love for nature, in fact, he was about the closest thing to a mountain man I have ever known. Yes, we were very different, but yet we shared much together during numerous camping and canoe trips. He had his demons, ups and downs, regrets in life, but yet he will remain as one of the best examples of a caring and loving human being I have had the pleasure of knowing. I am sure that many who knew him through the National Guard, the KRA company and my family will agree with this, despite the fact he tried to hide it most of the time. In short, I just wanted to say he was a good trusted friend, I loved him, and I will miss him.
