HATFIELD, IN – Charles Henry Martin, 84, of Hatfield, Indiana, died Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 4:08AM at his residence. Mr. Martin was born January 7, 1938, in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired lab technician at Alcoa, where he worked for 35 years. He was also a member of Richland General Baptist Church. Mr. Martin had a building at Luke’s Town and Country Flea Market in Greenville, where he enjoyed collecting and selling collectible items and antiques. He always cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. David Martin; mother, Ina Mae Martin; wife, Mary JoAnn Martin; sister, Marietta Goff; and daughter-in-law, Melissa Martin.
He is survived by his sons, Joe Martin of Hatfield, IN and Paul (Shannon) Martin of St. Phillips, IN; brothers, Bill (Sharon) Martin, Dennis Martin, and Jimmy (Trilla) Martin; grandchildren, Travis (Britany) Martin, Shauna (Ryan) Ralph, David Martin (fiancee’ Kelsie Weber), Erica (Donnie) Storch, and Oliva Martin (fiance’ Logan Salee); great-grandchildren, Deacon, Holden, Ryder, Naomi, Lincoln, Jackson, Hudson, and Oliver; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 12:00 noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Jimmy Haynes officiating. Burial in Allens Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 9:00AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
