CENTRAL CITY – Bobby Joe Lewellen, Sr., 59, of Central City, died Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 4:04PM at Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital in Madisonville. Mr. Lewellen was born in Sacramento, California on September 26, 1966. He was a Retired Carpenter and of the non-denominational faith. He enjoyed watching westerns, playing poker, and he loved going to the casinos. His grandson, Bobby Joe Lewellen, III was the highlight of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Shirley Lewellen; son, Robby Dennis Lewellen; and brother, John Lewellen.

He is survived by his son, Bobby Joe (Leah) Lewellen, II; grandson, Bobby Joe Lewellen, III; five sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
