Anna Jean Mackey CENTRAL CITY — Anna Jean Mackey, 74, of Central City died at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. She was born July 15, 1934, in Ohio County. She retired from Muhlenberg Community Hospital as a ward clerk and was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jewell D. Mackey; two sons, Michael D. Mackey and Timothy Ed Mackey, both of Gishton; two daughters, Vicki Thomas of Gishton and Judy Steve Rice of Bremen; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Sonnie Jr. Burden of Gishton, Billy Burden of Bremen and Jimmy David Burden of Gishton; and a sister, Betty Thommasson of Bremen. Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Michael Mackey Jr. officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jewell Martin.
