Barbara and Martha, So sorry to hear about Forrest. I just found out. Remembered him from school. Been friends with Barbara since the 5th or 6th grade when her family moved to the Cadiz area. Have known Martha from school also. Your family is in my prayers.

Dear Martha, I am so sorry for everything that happened and how it happened. Everything was such a shock and happened so suddenly, I'm still re-playing everything in my head over and over. I stayed with him until until about 9:30 that night and we did absolutely everything we could. I am so sorry how we went from having a hopeful plan that morning to how everything ended that evening. Forrest really was such a a bright light and you were the best supporter and advocate for him. It is so rare for patients to have family or any support during hospitalization, and you were there from the beginning. As awful as it is, I'm so appreciative that you were there during his decline too. I remember you standing next to him in his chair holding his hand and how calm you acted trying to comfort and console him. It was not a calm moment, but you did so wonderful at being there for him. So thank you for your impact and again, I am so sorry for your loss. I will be thinking of you and praying for you.

Many, many great memories of our childhood together—2nd cousins of the same age spending hours playing together along with sister “Sissy”. Lots of fun times with mail delivery to us, as William Howard (Forrest’s dad), William Forrest, and I (William I.), lived on the same road. Our paths diverged and it has been several years since I last saw Forrest but that doesn’t dilute the many memories. So sorry for your loss to Martha, Charles, and Tracey.
