BEECH CREEK – William Ray Evitts, 86, of Beech Creek, died Monday, September 11, 2017, at 8:16AM at his home. Mr. Evitts was born June 26, 1931, in Muhlenberg County. He was retired from I.C. Gulf Railroad and P & L Railroad, and was also a retired Methodist minister. He was a member of Powderly Methodist Church. He is survived by his sons, William Ray Evitts, Jr., of Beech Creek, Anthony Lynn Evitts of Dixon, and John Avery Evitts of Beech Creek; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 14, 2017, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Lynn Bard officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens. Beechcreek- William Ray Evitts, Jr. 66, of Beechcreek died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville, Kentucky. Mr. Evitts was born in Greenville, Kentucky on September 21, 1951. Mr. Evitts was a huge UK fan, enjoyed to fly fish and tinker with old cars along side his two brothers Anthony and John Evitts. He is survived by two brothers, Anthony (Donna) Evitts of Dixon and John (Debbie) Evitts of Beechcreek, Kentucky. Mr. Evitts is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Evitts is preceded in death by his parents William R Evitts, Sr. and Bette Jean Evitts. Funeral services are private. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
