GREENVILLE – William E. Decker, Jr., 72, of Greenville, died Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 4:45AM at his residence. Mr. Decker was born March 28, 1950, in Centertown. He was a self-employed construction worker. He enjoyed traveling all over with his wife of 52 years. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing softball. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren. He would also enjoy the simple pastime of sitting on the porch and soaking in the afternoon sun. He was preceded in death by his wife, Caletia Decker; parents, William E. Decker Sr. and Mamie Decker; and brother, Wendell Decker.

He is survived by his children, Rodney (Rhonda) Decker, Scott (Dana) Decker, Stacy (Joe) Nelson, Heather (David) Vincent; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ruby Uzzle, Helen Murphey, and Joyce Brown.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Doug Thompson officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens in Powderly. Visitation will be Thursday, 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
