CENTRAL CITY – William “Billy Ray” Duvall, 83, of Central City, died Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 12:45PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Duvall was born June 24, 1938, in Ohio County. He was a self-employed title abstractor and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He was a long-time member of Branham Tabernacle in Jeffersonville, IN, and loved to tell people about his relationship with his Lord. He loved to sing, fish, and spend time with his dog, Buddy. He also enjoyed taking long drives on Sunday afternoon. He was a member of the 1956 Central City High School basketball team, and followed UK basketball with a passion.
Mr. Duvall was preceded in death by his father, William Duvall; mother, Ila Clay Roark; and son, Bradley Duvall.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lee Braden Duvall; children, Stephanie Duvall, Brian Duvall, William Farrell Duvall, and Karima Tracy; step-children, Merideth Sweeney and Lisa Burton; step-mother, Flo Duvall; sisters, Elizabeth Piper and Kimberly Steele; brother, Robert Duvall; grandchildren, Nathanael, Cameron, Ciara, William, Ashley, Amanda, Christopher, and Danielle; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Bill Layton officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday after 11:00AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
