SACRAMENTO – Wanda Higgs West, 87, of Sacramento, died Thursday, October 31, 2019, at 12:45PM at her home. Mrs. West was born August 23, 1932, in Muhlenberg County. She was retired from General Electric in Owensboro and York in Madisonville, where she worked as an assembly line operator. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Rethel Hendricks Higgs; brothers, Chester Higgs, Freeman Higgs, LeRoy Higgs, Bobby Higgs; sister, Dorothy Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Shelby Clayton West; sister Shirley Vanover; sister-in-law Joyce West; 8 nieces; and 1 nephew. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 3, 2019, at 2:00PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento, with Rev. Kyle Stroud officiating. Burial in Gish Cemetery.
