SACRAMENTO- Vanita Lynn, 90, of Sacramento died Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Heartford House in Owensboro. Ms. Lynn was born in Daviess County on February 19, 1928. She was retired from G.E. since 1988, and a member of Poplar Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Ms. Lynn loved to make baby blankets for the NICU at Baptist Health in Madisonville, quilting, and was known for giggles and laughter. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Lynn; parents, John Robert and Catherine Ellis; brothers, John Robert Ellis, Thurman Ellis, Ernest Lee Ellis, Larry Ellis; sisters, Mary McLaughlin, Janey Johnson. Survivors include her daughters, Shirley (Harmon) Bobo of Livermore, Brenda (David) Bell of Rumsey, Vanessa (Kenneth) Davis of Providence; grandchildren, Ronnie, Tabatha, Davy, Tracy, Krystal, Chris, Jesse, Casey, Scott; great-grandchildren, Rileigh, Ashleigh, Harley, Trey, Laila, Annabell, Alyssa, Avery, Ethan, Erica, Wyatt, Weston, Evan, Miley, Alana, Ava; great-great grandchild, Easton; brother, Garry (June) Ellis; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with Bro. Tom Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery.
