Thilbern B. Wilcox Jr. 11/27/2008 BREMEN — Thilbern B. Wilcox Jr., 79, died at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at his residence. He was born Feb. 7, 1929, the son of the late T.B. and Ethel Gish Wilcox. He was a retired coal miner, was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Thilbern Wilcox Sr. and Ethel Gish Wilcox; brothers Dallas Wilcox and Billy Wilcox, and a sister, Rilda Abbott. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Jimmie Dee Gossett Wilcox; daughters Dee Ann (Darrell) Neal and Ellen Oglesby; grandchildren James (Ruth) Neal Jr., Chris (Christy) Neal, Lindsay (Brandon) Livingston and Jesse (Beth) Oglesby; great-grandchildren Jamie and Megan Neal, Taylor and Katie Neal, Hannah and Emma Livingston; brothers Wesley (Elizabeth) Wilcox, Bobby Gene (Ann) Wilcox, Dan (Janet) Wilcox and Jerry (Pam) Wilcox. Services are at 10 am. Saturday at Tucker Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glen Armstrong officiatin. Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Cemetery, Bremen. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank all who have helped during his illness. He was so loved by all of his family and friends. The outpouring of love and support has been heartwarming. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association and to the Gideons. We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. Psalm 33:20.
