CENTRAL CITY – Shirley Jean Lewellen, 78, of Central City, died Sunday, September 23, 2018, at 4:35AM at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville. Mrs. Lewellen was born January 29, 1940, in Daviess County. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her son, John Lewellen. She is survived by her husband, Sidney Lewellen; children Barbara (Wayne) Shadwick of Onton, Darlene (Ronnie) Hendrix of Central City, Sidney Bergman of Colorado, Rebecca (Jerry) Cryderman of California, Bobby Lewellen of Calhoun, Steven Lewellen of Colorado, and Michelle (Pete) Paclab of Colorado; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother Donald (Jane) Jones of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Pastor Buddy Slaughters officiating. Burial in New Hope Cemetery.
