Central City- Sheila Ann Gaston Crist, 83, of Central City died Friday, June 27, 2025 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Mrs. Crist born on April 12, 1942 in Bevier-Cleaton where she retired as Postmaster after 30 years of service. She was a 1960 graduate of Drakesboro High School and she also attended Murray State University. Mrs. Crist was a very active member of the Church of Christ for 70 plus years where she taught Sunday school and coordinated vacation bible school. She loved sewing, quilting, reading novels, and working puzzles. Mrs. Crist is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Carolyn Gaston; grandparents, Henry and Ruth Gaston, Homer and Opal Burden; nephew, Kirk Gaston; sister-in-law, Judy Gaston.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Wayne Crist; sons, Dr. Troy (Jamie) Crist of Madisonville, Dr. Todd (Debbie) Crist of Central City; grandchildren, Sommer (Ben) Bell of Madisonville, Chloe (Kyle) Bronski of Louisville, Dr. Chandler Crist of Madisonville; great grandchildren, Easton, Owen, and Henry Bell; brother, Tommy Gaston of Central City; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Central City Church of Christ with Bob Edlin officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Visitation will be held Monday, June 30, 2025 from 9:00AM-11:00AM at the church. Tucker Funeral Home in Central City is in charge of arrangements.
