DRAKESBORO – Sanford Wayne “Sandy” Roberts, 74, of Drakesboro, died Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 12:20PM at his residence. Mr. Roberts was born January 13, 1948, in Muhlenberg County. He was a self-employed entrepreneur. He enjoyed woodworking, thumb picking, gardening, operating his ham radio (call sign WB4TWT), reading, and riding his jeep in the summer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Vonnell Roberts; brother, Jimmy Roberts; and sister, Susan Alverson.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Lynn Roberts; sons, Wayne (Lindy) Roberts, David (Melissa) Roberts, Chris (Amy) Roberts, Jonathan (Holli) Roberts, Paul Alan Roberts, and Jacob Dewayne Roberts; daughter, Michelle (David) Johnson; 17 grandkids; 10 great-grandkids; several nieces and nephews; and sister, JoAnne (Vic) Horrell.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Joe Chambers officiating. Burial in Highway Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-8:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
