GREENVILLE – Ruby Maxine Griffin, 88, of Greenville, died Monday, November 10, 2025 at 12:49PM at her residence. Ms. Griffin was born in Cleaton on September 11, 1937. She was a Homemaker and a member of Pentecostals of Muhlenberg County. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially painting and coloring. Her artistic abilities were admired and respected by her family and friends. She loved attending church, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darris Fay Griffin; sisters, Judy Rager, and Eva Ingram; and brother, Jimmy McElwain.

She is survived by her children, Maria P. Smith, Linda Sue Fox, Vickie Jean Arvin, Kelly Renee’ Jakob, and Joseph W. Griffin; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and brother, Jerry Wayne McElwain.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 11AM at Tucker Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Neighbors officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 9-11AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
