GREENVILLE – Rose Ella Kennedy, 67, of Greenville, died Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 4:53PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Kennedy was born October 27, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois. She was a homemaker and attended Duvall’s Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Kennedy enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, cooking, spending time with family, and working puzzles. She also enjoyed arts and crafts and listening to music. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Curtis Gates; second husband, Terry Spears; third husband, Billy Kennedy; daughter, Jessica Gates; grandson, Derek English; brother, L.C. McElvain; father, Joseph Boria; and mother, Mary Wester.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri (Bryan) Vincent; son, James Spears; grandchildren, Braxton Beal, Jazzmine Noffsinger, Bryson Beal, Dillon English, Mason Hicks, Drayden Spears, and Harlow Spears; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary DeArmond, Cathy King, Margie Evitts, Ramona Johnson, and Debbie Word.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Larry Shadowen. Burial in Nebo Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
