GREENVILLE – Rondel Harold Joines, 66, of Greenville, better known to his friends and family as “Rod”, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at 3:38AM at Greenville Nursing and Rehab. Rod was born August 6, 1953, in Beech Creek. He was a graduate of Hughes-Kirk High School and was a retired backhoe operator. Rod was an avid hunter and fisherman. His favorite past times were spent fishing at the pond by his house with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Obba and Geneva Joines; and two grandchildren, Raylen and Christian Johnson. Survivors include his daughter, Maranda (Tyler) Johnson; four grandchildren, Ashton Norris, Glenn Johnson, Mackenzie Johnson, and Jacob Johnson; brother Butch (Donna) Joines; and sisters Kay (Ronnie) Covington and Gina Bowers.
