Robert Wayne Parsons

CENTRAL CITY – Robert Wayne Parsons, 64, of Central City, passed away peaceably at his residence on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 after a courageous fight against cancer. A former employee of Pogue Automotive, Robert was born December 26, 1958 in Danville, Illinois to James and Margie Parsons. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-mother, Alma Parsons; and brother, James Parsons, Jr. Robert spent much of his life in Black Oak, Indiana, and the Big Stone Gap, Virginia area, before moving to Ohio and Kentucky. Robert was a member of Forest Oak Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his sons, Shelby (Bianca) Parsons of Owensboro, Joey Parsons of Florida; daughters,      Maria Parsons and Juanita Parsons both of Ohio; sisters, Brenda (Don) Jacobs of Jackson, Missouri, and Mary (Ron) Drake of Belton; brothers, Kenny (Cindy) Parsons of Beechmont, William Parsons of Central City, Jerry Parsons of Dryden, Virginia, Harold (Debra) Charles of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, and Robert (Dorinda) Brightwell of Tennessee.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
