GREENVILLE – Robert Harold “Bub” Sparks,87,of Greenville, died Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Redbanks Colonial Terrace in Sebree, KY. Mr. Sparks was born February 23, 1931 in Muhlenberg County and graduated from Bremen High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, retired coal miner, member of the UMWA and a member of East Union Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Corrine Sparks; daughter, Norma Jewel Stovall; parents, Everett and Lois Sparks; and one sister, Wanda Price. He is survived by three sons, Kenny (Dolly) Sparks of Greenville, Jeff (Meloney) Sparks of Greenville and Greg Sparks of Nashville, TN; 9 grandchildren, Eric (Allyson) Stovall, Nichelle (Brendan) Niemi, Lucas (Ashley) Stovall, Lindsey (Josh) Coldwell, Jaclyn (Bryan) Eades, Stephanie (Lance) Roberts, Blake (Whitney) Sparks, Jamie (Brian) Penrod and Jordan (Christina) Sparks; two brothers, Frankie (Peggy) Sparks and Doyle (Opie) Sparks; and 20 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Monday, September 3, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home, with Rev. Tondra Daugherty and Bro. Joe Chambers officiating. Burial in East Union Cemetery.
