GREENVILLE – Richard Wallace Mitchell, 70, of Greenville, died Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 7:50PM at his residence. Mr. Mitchell was born August 4, 1954 in Greenville. He was a farmer and of the Pentecostal faith. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed cutting up with people. He loved to sing, and play guitar, collect antiques, spend time outside mowing his yard and spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed his time that he spent with Robin, his life partner of 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Wallace Mitchell; brother, Kevin Mitchell; and sister, Linda Cobb.

He is survived by his partner, Robin Bennett; two daughters, Candida Lynn (Jesse) Likens of Greenville, and Shirlyn Renea (Richard) Hess of Bowling Green; three step-sons, Daniel Bennett, DJ Bennett, and Robert Payne; sisters, Shelia Lewis, Debra Dukes (Howard); and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 5PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Ryan Morris officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-5PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
