BREMEN – Richard Earl Noffsinger, 78, of Bremen, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 16, 2018, at 8:40PM at his home. Mr. Noffsinger was born October 14, 1940, in Muhlenberg County. He retired from the Muhlenberg County Board of Education in 2010 after 20 years of service. Prior to the Board of Education, he worked several years as a United Coal Miner at Peabody’s Austin #4 in Ohio County, and Camp #2 in Morganfield. He also worked at the A&P Grocery Store in Central City for several years and was their produce manager when the store was closed. He was a member of Woodson Baptist Church in Powderly for 58 years and served as Music Director, Sunday School Teacher, and Deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.O. and Stella Noffsinger; brothers Kenneth Noffsinger and Houston “Dood” Noffsinger; and sister Leatrice Morris. Mr. Noffsinger is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judith Foley Noffsinger; son Brent (Stephanie) Noffsinger; daughter Terri (David) Durham; grandsons Jacob (Hollie) Noffsinger and Mason Noffsinger; great-granddaughter Libby Faith Noffsinger; and brother Tunney (Clemmie) Noffsinger. Funeral services will be Monday, November 19, 2018, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Nick Duvall officiating. Burial in Old Bethel Cemetery.
