Oh dear Larry, my mother, Charlie Evelyn Ray, spoke of you often. Anytime my mom described her upbringings and childhood teenage years you were always included. Clearly she was fond of you. My heart and prayers goes out to the entire Ray family. Losing a loved one is never easy, devastating! It never gets better we just learn to deal with it. Love. Venita & Family: So sorry for your loss. Larry & I joined the Central City Jaycees in the sixties on the same night. I was also privileged to have served with him for several years in the Lion’s Club. He will be missed by his family, his Church family, friends and most certainly his community. May God bless and comfort you during the ensuing difficult days ahead.

My most sincere condolence.
Bill Hicks left a message on June 7, 2021:
I always liked Larry. He and my uncle, Billy Mason, were good friends. They would let me tag along with them sometimes to ball games. Larry was always nice to me when I was a little kid. He had a beautiful set shot. I saw him launch one from mid court in Bremen. The ball touched nothing but the nets. The Golden Tide was undefeated during the 1954 regular season, and Larry did his part to keep the streak going.
