CENTRAL CITY- Patsy Diane Edwards, 73, of Central City died Friday, August 7, 2020 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Ms. Edwards was born in Muhlenberg County on November 7, 1946. She was a social sevice worker for McClean County and a member of Promise Seekers Church in Sacramento. Ms. Edwards is preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Stevens; brothers, Newman and George Clay Stevens; sisters, Shirley Stevens, and Theda Deason on August 1, 2020. Survivors include her daughter, Mary (Johnathan) Bonnell of Roberts, KY; son, Mathew (Keesha) Edwards of Bremen; grandchildren, Joclyn Edwards, Rylan Edwards, Alexander Bonnell, Justin Bonnell, Hayes Bennett; brother, Gary Stevens; sisters, Mayme Orange, Nancy Latham, Marilyn McElwain. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 12:00PM at Allen’s Chapel Cemetery with Johanna Dame officiating. Pat was my sister-in-law for many years. We were very close and she will be missed!

Pat was a very sweet and kind person. Treated me as if she had known me for years.The first time we met @ Promise Seekers Church she just hugged me like she knew me for a long time.I grew to love her instantly. I remember her grabbing me by my cheeks one day and squeezing gently and patting them and kissing me on my forehead.That showed me she really did care about me. The look in her eyes told it all. So much love in her eyes shining through. What else can i say. SWEET LADY!!

We had many good times . You left behind precious memories. We have loved you since childhood. I will see you in the future. When you reached heaven you heard, well done my good and faithful servant.

Mary Jo and Matt I am so sorry for the kids of your mom. I loved Pasty even though I hadn't seen her in a long time. My prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry to learn of the loss of a childhood friend and I am praying for Gods comfort for her family

Pat was a good person and best friend to her beloved sister, Theda. She was a Hughes-Kirk graduate and the glue that kept the Class of 64 in touch. She worked hard organizing class reunions. She loved her family, her Lord and she loved living her life to the fullest. She truly will be missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family.

Pat, it so hard to believe that we have lost you too. My heart broke when our baby sis Theda passed and before I could gather up all the pieces to try and put it back together, well the Lord decided that Theda needed you more with her than we did, so those pieces still lay at my feet crushed and waiting until He puts me back together again. I will always cherish all the trips, cruises, Goidwilling, laughs we three had together throughout the years. Most of I cherish the love you had for us all. Until 3 becomes 1, I will always long for that heavenly day. Love you forever.

i did not know patsy but i did know her mom and dad very well her dad pretched my moms funeral,what a fine mom and dad she had,rip patsy

It's so sad. She is sister to my aunt Theda (Tater) and the two loved going to thrift shops for bargains. They really loved Florida and the beach. It was actually there in Fl together that they found out that they were sick. They loved traveling all over together.

It breaks my heart to lose two a week apart. Prayers for the family. She and Theda will both be much missed!!
