CENTRAL CITY – Norville L. Zackery, 82, of Central City died Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 6:21AM at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville. Mr. Zackery was born July 7, 1941 in Muhlenberg County. He was a Coal Miner, and he owned Triple Z Trucking. He enjoyed racing his car at the dirt track in Central City, and his car ” 7 Buzzard” is now located in the KY Motorsports Hall of Fame. He enjoyed singing at church as well as playing guitar. He was a Sunday School Teacher/Director and Song Director for New Harmony Baptist Church where he was a member. He loved spending time with his Grandbabies and Great-Grandbabies. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leck and Josephine Zackery; brother, John Zackery, and sisters Shirley Kornberger, and Roseanne Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Hudson Zackery; sons, Troy Zackery, and Duane (Lauria) Zackery; daughter, Tammy (Richard) Novak; grandchildren, Brandon Zackery, Sheena (Jared) Browning, Talia Zackery, Gabriel Zackery, Maria (Corey) Neal, Christi (Doug) Vincent, Hollie Novak and Aaron Novak; great-grandchildren, Briana, Maddie, Liam, Ian, Kensi, Lydia and Mira, Lorelei, Carly, and Charlie; brothers, Eddie (Sheila) Zackery, and Jeff Zackery; sisters, Beatrice Smith, Margaret Stillwell, Patricia (Mike) Fruit.
Funeral services will be Saturday August 5, 2023 at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Dan Yeager officiating. Burial in New Harmony Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00AM-1:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com
