GREENVILLE – Nathaniel Gadson, age 82, of Greenville died on October 22, 2021 at 8:10 a.m. at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. Mr. Gadson was born on December 2, 1938 in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired coal miner with Peabody Coal Company. He was also a Deacon at Browder Chapel Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his daughter Evonda Jane Gadson; parents Chester and Florene Gadson; sisters Elsie Reese, Maggie Dulin, Anna Gadson; brothers Emmanuel Gadson, Sylvester Slaton, Rosco Gadson, Lonnie Gadson.
He is survived by his wife Paulette Saulsberry Gadson, daughters Gelata Gadson of Texas, Carmen King of Texas, Angela (Edgar) Reynolds of Greenville, Terra (D-Arcy) Davis of Clarksville TN, Kimberly Saulsberry of Greenville, and Shateka Saulsberry of Greenville. sons David (Nikki) Saulsberry of Central City, Kris (Keisha) Saulsberry of Greenville, Nathaniel (Cindy) Gadson Jr. of Indiana, Kerry Holden of Lexington, sisters Earletta (Nathan) Henderson of Drakesboro, Hilda (Owen D.) Schultz of Drakesboro, Marvine (June) Clark of Central City, and a host of grandkids, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the 1st Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Powell, Rev. John Lee, Rev. Terrance Minor and Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held on October 27, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 209 Oak St., Greenville, Kentucky 42345.
