BREMEN – Nancy Ruth Burden, age 81, of Bremen, entered her heavenly home on Sunday, November 14, 2021. Mrs. Burden was born December 22, 1939, in Muhlenberg County to Andrew “Andy” and Cloise Higgins Stogner of Cherry Hill, KY.
Nancy Ruth was more than a homemaker. She embellished in her family, which she loved unconditionally. She was a strong lady in every essence. She always trusted God’s plan. Nancy had a green thumb, took pride in her flower beds and her plants. She was well known for her delicious southern cooking. She hand sewed many quilts throughout her life. She sewed each child and grandchild their own special quilt with love in every stitch.
Mrs. Burden was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Willard “Billy” Burden; and her son Greg Burden.
She is survived by two sons, Danny (Kim) Burden of Greenville, and Larry Burden of Bremen; one daughter, Melinda Burden Hearld of Central City; grandchildren Adam (Brittany) Croxton of Bowling Green, Andy (Becca) Burden of Jacksonville, FL, and Ben (Harlee) Burden of Bremen; great-grandchildren Alisha-Beth (Kyle) Wade of Greenville, Joseph Hearld of Bremen, Hanna Hearld of Owensboro, and Arianna and Brynlee Croxton of Bowling Green; and great-great-granddaughter Addison Wade of Greenville.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 12:00 noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. J.W. Haire officiating. Burial in New Harmony Cemetery in Bremen.
