CENTRAL CITY – Minnie Marie Buchanan, 88, of Central City, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at 8:00AM at Sparks Nursing Center. Mrs. Buchanan was born October 28, 1928, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Buchanan; son Finus Buchanan; brothers Denny Bilyeu, Billy Bilyeu, Hershel Bilyeu, and Joe Bilyeu; sister Pearl Lester; and daughters-in-law Coleretta Buchanan and Sharrie Buchanan. She is survived by her children, James (Lyndell) Buchanan, George Buchanan, Bobby (Brenda) Buchanan, Joyce Oliver, Margaret (Wayne) Romans, Bertha (John) Branham, Judy (Jerry) Bratcher, and Randy (Brenda) Buchanan; 22 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 36 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters and brothers Liller Drake, George Bilyeu, Bob Bilyeu, and Sue Lin. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 10:30AM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Bro. Adam DeArmond officiating, assisted by Bro. Mike DeArmond. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
