CENTRAL CITY – Micheal Clay Brewer, Sr., “Pops”, 71, of Central City, transitioned into his eternal resting place, surrounded by family and friends, on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Baptist Health in Madisonville. Mr. Brewer was born January 12, 1947, in Muhlenberg County. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War, and retired after 22 years of service from the Muhlenberg Job Corp Center. He was a beloved member of New Life Church. Pops has influenced a lot of people through the years, and treated them as family. “Family is not always blood”. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Marie Brewer; parents Robert “Bob” and Lillian Brewer; and brothers Donald Brewer and Billy Bob Brewer. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Rolley Brewer; sons Mickey (Darleen) Brewer, Chad (Amy) Brewer, Brandon (J.B.) Wood, and Stephen Gregory; and grandchildren Alyssa Brewer, Carly Beth Brewer, Rebecca Brewer, Joe Brewer, McKenzie Wood, and Landon Wood. Funeral services will be Friday, June 1, 2018, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Alan Harris officiating, assisted by Rev. Wayne Rice. Burial in Horton’s Chapel Cemetery.
