My Uncle Mike was more like a big brother to me growing up. We were only 5 years apart in age and lived next door to each other the better parts of our childhood. He definitely tried to keep us all in line. He was always funny, loved to dance, and always enjoyed fun times with our entire family in my Grandmother’s kitchen. His love for horses and all things related, began at an early age, taking care of Bill Myers’ horses in Morton’s Gap. I’ll never forget when he got his GTO and took his grandfather, my great grandfather Hopper, for a ride. I don’t think Papa Hopper ever got into a car with him again. He was always a little on the wild side. Uncle Mike, you were loved by many. Even though miles and years separated us, you left your indelible mark on my heart, along with many fond and funny memories. I know you must be riding, laughing, and enjoying an amazing reunion with our family. We will meet again one day.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
