CENTRAL CITY- Mary Lynn Harvey Thomas, 66, of Central City died Friday, October 2, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Thomas was born in Muhlenberg County on February 5, 1954. She was a retired x-ray/ultrasound technician at Muhlenberg Community Hospital for over 40 years. Mrs. Thomas was a member of First United Methodist Church of Central City for 66 years. She loved her family passionately and was brought infinite joy by her children and grandchildren. She was selfless in every way. She possesed a strong faith and she loved her church. Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Clayton Harvey; parents, Murl and Lillian Gentry. Survivors include her husband, Durward Thomas; son, Will Harvey of Lexington; daughter, Andrea (Patrick) Zimmerman of Athens, AL; brothers, Jerry (Vicki) Gentry of Henderson, Darrel (Elizabeth) Gentry of Central City, Bill (Karen) Gentry of Lexington; grandchildren, Lilli and Clay Zimmerman, Trenton, Logen, and Spencer Thomas; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; step-children, Darin (Lori) Thomas, Dewayne Thomas. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Dr. Jim Coleman officiating and Bro. Tom Eblen assisting. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in South Carrollton. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Central City. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the First United Methodist Church of Central City. Envelopes will be available at the church and the funeral home. I have so many fond memories of growing up around Mary Lynn and the 1970s girls on Broad and Morehead Street. It's like time never passed when we meet on my visits to CC. Mary Lynn always seemed the same fun loving spirit. Prayers for her family as we mourn the loss of Mary Lynn, and her life...well-lived.

My condolences to the family. Mary Lynn was kind, sweet, funny, and a very thoughtful person. I learned a lot of wonderful life gems from her and I'm so grateful to have known her. Mary Lynn was a class act. She was the complete package. My heart is so broken. Rest in heaven my friend.

So sorry for your loss. I didn't know Mary well but every time I saw her she had a smile on. I remember the first time I meet her was when I put a note on Kramer's (Goldie's) collar. She was so sweet and caring. She even let us know when she moved and of Kramer's passing. God gained another beautiful sole. Peace for each of you.

What a wonderful person! I worked with her at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for 27 years, always kind, smiled all the time, an example for all of us in the business world as well as our personal life. Hold her dearly as one of my dear friends with goof memories.

Andrea, I'm so very sorry for your loss! Some of my first memories are of spending time with Mary Lynn brushing my hair and comparing it to horses mane. I loved spending time at the Harvey house with one of my very first friends. If you need anything please don't hesitate to let me know. Much love.

I have so many memories to cherish. I am so thankful to had so much time being her coworker and friend. We shared so much history together of which from her two beautiful wonderful children to trying to cope with the demands of our professional lives. I have such an emptiness in my heart, but I am such a better person being in her presence. Love you Muriel always and forever.

Haven't seen nor talk with her for years but use to work at hospital while she worked. Was always sweet friendly and kind. So sorry for the loss of her. Prayers for you all
