Loved this lady! Worked with her for a while at Walmart when she worked there part time and still full time at the clerks office. I'm still at Walmart and I stop what I'm doing and say hi everytime I seen her there and have always sent her a Christmas card every year since I've known her! She would say, I've seen your kids grow up! Such a sweet lady will be missed. ❤️

Mamaw African violets on the window sill, roosters tucked in every nook and corner of the kitchen, a cup of coffee in the morning, a hutch full of photos of grandkids and great grandkids, sunflowers in the backyard, corn pudding at Thanksgiving. She made bundt cakes as gifts at Christmas - chocolate, red velvet, and jam cake. Orange juice cake in the warmer months. A pitcher of tea. She would tell me there was a monkey in the bathroom, and I’d look behind the door just to see my own reflection in the mirror. The funny way she’d say “a chicken!” and joked that I’d turn into one because I ate so much of it. She was always cracking jokes and in good humor. She was incredibly disciplined, some might say stubborn. She was also very smart and intuitive. She loved her birthday and getting cards. She used to wallpaper houses and refinish furniture on the side. She worked hard. She kept up with people. She suffered more than any mother should have to bear, but she persisted. We will miss her very much.

Condolences to the family. Mary Helen was a great lady whom I called my friend. Went to church with her and worked at the City Building with her.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Mary Helen inspired me more than any Christian I've ever met. Even though I knew she was hurting, she always had a smile and encouraging words. I feel blessed beyond words to have had her as a friend these past 10 years.
