CENTRAL CITY – Mary Jo Fortney, 87, of Central City, died Monday, August 3, 2020, at 9:51AM at her home. Mrs. Fortney was born June 1, 1933, in Muhlenberg County. She was owner/operator of Bryson Studio in Central City, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Central City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murrel Courtland Fortney, Sr.; and son Roger Fortney. She is survived by her son, Murrel Courtland Fortney, Jr. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Chase Thompson officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 11:30AM at the funeral home.
