Dad just let me know about Mae. I wanted to tell you and Linda know how much both of us has appreciated all of you as neighbors these past many years. I still remember going to set with your grandmother while you all went to church. Also, Dad felt big time getting the road plowed when it snowed after Mae got on the Counsel. :+}
Please know you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Your Mom was a great lady. Love and hugs!

My Favorite memory of your Mother was when we were cooking for one of their many charity Rabbit Fries and your Mother made gravy. She was a great cook, but she got this gravy really thick. Joe Glenn Mitchell stood a large spoon up in the middle of the pan and took a picture. She was such a joy to be around and as proof she just cackled when she saw what Joe Glenn was doing.
My Favorite Ferrell moment was when Ferrell took me rabbit hunting, Everyone knows that I'm not that great a shot even with a shotgun. So, Ferrell was setting on the tailgate of the truck waiting for the dogs to come out of the briars and the dogs scared up a rabbit running across the corn field. I emptied my gun with the rabbit still running freely across the field. Ferrell had to get down on the ground laughing at me and my great shooting. All he could get out was "Why did you stop shooting?"
As I get older, it truly saddens me to lose people like your Mom and Ferrell. They truly brought joy to everyone who knew them. There was no difference in people they met. They loved everyone. I still think of Ferrell time and again and I'm so sad to hear about your Mother. You truly have my deepest sympathy and prayers to you and your Family for your loss.
Sincerely,
Ron Poole
