To the Taylor Family,
We just returned from vacation and read about Luwana and it broke our hearts to learn of her passing. She was right across the hall from my sister, Dora at the Courtyard and I visited with her every time I was there. When I was in Cleaton many years ago, I went to church at Cleaton Baptist Church and knew H.D. and Luwana well. You boys were small at the time. She was a wonderful and sweet person and we will miss her so much. You all are in our prayers and we count it a privilege to call her friend.

Lori, Gary and family,
My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you during this time. I have recounted so many memories from my days at Bremen and even after graduating high school, seeing your mom out and even visiting her a few times in her home. She was a beautiful loving soul who lit up the room with her smile and you could see God's love extending through her in every word and deed. I can only imagine her rejoicing in Heaven both with joining loved ones already there but also anticipating the reunion when we all get there too! Heaven is indeed sweeter all the time! Even though you know she is in such a glorious place, her absence from this life will be hard at times. Blessings to you all that you will feel the Lord's comfort you during those times and especially as you say goodbye and reminisce over these days.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Mother; such a lovely lady so beautiful. Your Mother and Grandmother have a special place in my heart from when we were all at New Hope. They were always, to me, the essence of the way women use to be when I was growing up.
I know you will miss her terribly but we have the comfort in knowing she is singing with the Lord now.
I just talked to Jaynah, my granddaughter, and she want me to express her condolences to you.

Love to your entire family
Genia

Heaven's gain/Our loss. I will cherish the memories I have of Luwana and H.D. Luwana was the best hostess ever. She loved people and having them in her home. She was a fantastic cook! I have some of her recipes. Joe and I loved staying with them. We had so much fun seeing relatives, playing games, eating and visiting with their kids. I loved having private conversations with her. And as my daughter mentioned, she had a great wink. Have a lot of great memories!

Don't recall a single time that I ever saw Luwana without a smile on her face or a kind word for someone. Of course, I do remember hearing stories from her about her temper but it was always something justified and then she'd smile that beautiful smile! Prayers of comfort for the family.
