GREENVILLE – Linda Jane Embry, 79, of Greenville, died Monday, July 1, 2019, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Mrs. Embry was born December 25, 1939, in Muhlenberg County. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife. She was a generous, caring soul who was willing to go to great lengths to assure her children and grandchildren were taken care of. She was willing to take in complete strangers and put a roof over their heads. She had a sense of humor that knew no end, and a genuine sparkle that is rarely found. The family rushed to her kitchen for fried chicken and her breakfast gravy. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her. We’ll miss you, grandma. She leaves behind her husband, James Embry; son Kevin Embry; brother David Smith; and grandchildren Scott, Lucas, Nick, and Autumn Leach, and Justin and Alex Embry. Joint funeral services for Mrs. Embry and her daughter, Karen Leach, will be Friday, July 5, 2019, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Pastor David Rose and Rev. CENTRAL CITY – Linda Faye Embry, 67, of Central City, died Sunday, August 18, 2019, at 8:47PM at her home. Ms. Embry was born September 10, 1951, in Muhlenberg County. She worked at Muhlenberg North Middle School, and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was the family consultant for all “Embry Family issues”. She was unique and one of a kind. She was five minutes younger than her twin sister, Brenda. Three words that described her were “Live, Love, Laugh”. She lived life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Lucy Embry; brothers Wendell Embry, Ray Embry, and Kenneth Embry; and sister Mildred Imogene Embry. She is survived by her sister, Wilma “Lorie” (Tony) Beliles of Central City; twin sister Brenda (Bob) Hodges of Utica; brothers James Embry of Greenville, Frankie (Sherry) Embry of Belton, and Louis (Marilyn) Embry of Madisonville; sisters-in-law Betty Joyce Embry of Central City and Carolyn Embry of Bremen; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Louis Embry officiating, assisted by Pastor Shannon Embry.
