The hill Uncle Larry used to live on seemed like a mountain to me when I was a kid. We'd come down from Indiana every summer, play with the hounds he kept in the back yard, pick the ticks off each other, then I'd wander off and try to drive Ray's convertible down the hill by yanking on the gear lever when no one was looking. Thanks to Uncle Larry and cousin Ray, I never did manage to get that car out of the driveway and down that mountain-hill. They always wanted all the fast and fun for themselves, and wouldn't let no little kid steal their thunder. I hope Uncle Larry's enjoying the mountain-hill again, and looking down upon us all and still feeling the fast, the fun, and all the love.
