CENTRAL CITY – Judith Elaine Staples Wilkins, 67, of Central City, received God’s healing Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Louisville’s Jewish Hospital. She was born on May 14, 1951, to Marvin and Bea Staples of Central City. She graduated from Central City High School in 1969. Judy is survived by her husband of 47 years, Phil Wilkins, and her children Susan (Derek) Price of Lexington and Mark (Amy) Wilkins of Paducah, and grandson Parker Price. She is also survived by her parents and her brothers Fred (Charlene) Staples of Greenville and James “Jimmy” Staples of Central City. During her lifetime, she was the Chief Financial Officer of the Wilkins’ household, an education advocate for her children and others, and the loved “Ms. Judy” to the children of her church. An active member of Cleaton Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years, she volunteered as the church Sunday School Secretary for over 30 years and was a volunteer in the Team KIDS program for the last 10 years. Visitation will be Friday, November 16, 2018, from 5-8PM and Saturday after 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 2:00PM at the funeral home, with Bro. Brian Jones officiating. Burial services will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to honor Judy’s life by volunteering with your local church, school, or library.
