Ms. Diane, Was so sorry to see that Johnny had slipped these surly bounds and entered into his eternal reward. We go back a long time, to 1964, when we both worked, along with several others, in Tuscaloosa Alabama before coming to River Queen. John was always faithful to the Lord and in his personal commitments, diligent to his work, truthful to his word and honest in his dealings! I always considered him to be a dependable friend, co-worker and Union brother. I remember when Uncle Bob Noffsinger (RQ and I believe some kin to you) was picking at John about you - prior to your marriage. I was saddened to find out of his passing on Saturday morning at 10:30 (almost Funeral time) so I was unable to get an arrangement from the Local Union to the service in time but will try to get something yet; please accept my apology on behalf of myself and the Local. If I can be of any help during this time of turmoil I will try my best; otherwise Debby at the UMWA office in Madisonville (270-821-2774) will help; she is a treasure! Best wishes for you, the kids and their families as you all adjust. Sincerely, Charlie Durham River Queen LU1178

I really enjoyed Brother Johnny’s Sunday School class back in the eighties. I thought he was an excellent teacher.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
