BEECHMONT – Jimmy Wayne Pogue, 79, of Beechmont, died Sunday, December 25, 2022, at 2:25AM at his residence.  Mr. Pogue was born May 3, 1943, in Beech Creek, KY.  He graduated from Hughes- Kirk High School in 1962 and Madisonville Community College Nursing Program in 1967.  Jimmy worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 40 years and provided excellent loving care to his patients.  He enjoyed collecting wrist watches, wall clocks, various antiques, and growing violets.  His passions were attending the performing arts, theater, and music.  Jimmy was a very personable loving man who always had a smile, and a wonderful sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy & Alice Pogue; brother, David Pogue; and sisters, Geraldine Pogue, Betty Steele, Carolyn Sumner, and Mary Jo Jones.

He is survived by his spouse, Mark Converso; sister, Marilyn Anderson; many beloved nieces and nephews; and his pets Tifah, Bitsy, & Grinner.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 6:00PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Mark Earle officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday after 4:00PM at the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Muhlenberg County Humane Society or Hospice of Western Kentucky.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
