CENTRAL CITY – Jimmie Howard “Blue Gill” Vincent, 77, of Central City, died Monday, December 18, 2023, at 6:29PM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mr. Vincent was born September 19, 1946, in Muhlenberg County. He was a self-employed masonry worker. He loved gardening and spending time with his family. He also loved to race cars, coon hunting, and being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Finis and Gracie Shanks Vincent; daughter, Teresa Gail Pharis; sisters, Geneva Kyle and Nellodean Evans; and brother, Robert Vincent.
He was survived by his wife of 60 years, Anna L. “Snookie” Fulkerson Vincent, who subsequently died on December 21, 2023.
He is also survived by his children, Jeff (Kim) Vincent, Jimmy Vincent, Jr., and Dianne (Greg) Whitmer; grandchildren, Glean Pharis, Gary Pharis, Amanda Pharis, Katie (Jacob) Lee, Chris Vincent, Brittney Vincent, Whitney Gott, and Quentin Whitmer; several great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Estil (Penny) Pharis; sister, Connie Herrin; and several nieces and nephews.
Joint funeral services for Jimmie and Anna Vincent will be Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Mike Neal officiating. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Joint visitation will be Friday after 5:00PM at the funeral home.
