Beech Creek- Jerry Lee Cook, 86, of Beech Creek died Friday, August 23, 2024 at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenville. Mr. Cook was born in Muhlenberg County on December 6, 1937. He was a former custodian at Land Between the Lakes and a veteran of the Air Force. He liked being on the go, he never wanted to sit still. He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting and fishing were his passions. Mr. Cook is preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Louise Cook; wife, Ida Pearl Hester Cook; sisters, Sue Cook and Maryanne Pendley; brother, Larry Cook.

Survivors include his daughter, Emma Cook; nephews, Tim Cook and Mike Pendley.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Rochester Cemetery with David Anderson officiating. Tucker Funeral Home in Central City is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences can be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.

I'm his only child but I wanted to say the following: Jerry Cook was a good husband and a GREAT father. And he was always ready and willing to do anything for his family! He also loved his country and flew a flag and always went out of his way to take care of his American flag. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends!
