GREENVILLE – Jeffery Wayne Lock, 60, of Greenville, died at 2:02AM on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Muhlenberg County on June 11, 1962. He was a coal miner and attended Woodland Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald, and Laverne Lock; and brother, Gerald “Pee Wee” Lock.

He is survived by his wife, Leesa Ragland Lock; sisters, Sandy Browning, and Deanna (Adam) Brown; and brother-in-law, Matt (Tammy) Ragland.

I’m just now finding out about this and my sympathies and condolences to the family. Jeff was a hoot and I’m going to miss running into him out and about. He always ragged me about something and I always gave it right back. He was a great guy. RIP. I’m so sorry.

I grew up in Powderly and when I was young Jeff and I used to play ball on We.bb st. Alot ..... So sorry to hear of the passing of Jeff.... My prayers are with Sandy and the Lock family..... Randy

First I want send my condolences to Leesa and the family. I’m very sorry for thier loss. Jeff and I has worked together for the past 11 years. Jeff was one of the good ones for sure. We had a lot fun and laughs over the years. I wished we had more workers like Jeff, he cared about his job and took pride in the work that he did. We sure will miss Pally out here at the mines. Rest easy ol buddy!
