CENTRAL CITY – Jeffery Joe Simpson, Sr., 62, of Central City passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 12:30AM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. Jeff was born October 30, 1963 in Greenville to David Simpson and Jean Phelps Simpson. He worked construction and retired from Wal-Mart. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Simpson; father, David Simpson; and son, Matthew Knight.

He is survived by wife, Kim Daugherty Simpson of Central City; sons, Jeffrey (Kelsey) Simpson of Elizabethtown, Dustin Simpson of Central City; daughters, Misty Belcher (CK) of Greenville, Meagan Frisch (Ryan) of Eddyville, Brianna Knight of Eddyville; mother, Jean Simpson of Central City; grandchildren, Bella, Avery, Ollie, and Everette Simpson, Makayla and Rustan Belcher, Karsyn and Kolten Frisch, Easton Wallace, Lawson and Dalton Knight; siblings, Andy (Beth) Simpson, Tommy Simpson; niece and nephew, Riley and Marshall Simpson.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 2PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Central City with Father Richard Cash officiating. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8PM at Tucker Funeral Home with Prayers starting at 7PM. Visitation also on Tuesday after 12PM at the church.

I am so sorry for ur loss I just seen this today or I would have came to funeral home.. I went to school with Jeff and always thought so much of him. He was a good man I just hate i couldn't come and pay my respects. Prayers for your family

So sorry for the family's loss , remember him helping me coach JR Varsity football . Was great person and really enjoyed coaching the kids. Again prayers for the family..
