James Lindy Rowe James Lindy Rowe, 80, of 68 S. Cherry Hill Road, Central City, died at 11:49 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2009, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born May 16, 1928, in Ohio County, was a member of Mud River Union General Baptist Church, an Army veteran and was a retired coal miner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Rowe. Survivors include two sons, Dewayne Rowe of Central City and Michael (Lillie) Rowe of Bremen; three grandchildren, Mary Jean (Brent) Hardin; and Nathan Rowe and Michael Rowe; five great-grandchildren, Caleb Rowe, Clayton Rowe, Catelynn Rowe, Zachary Hardin and Lucas Hardin; a brother, Gene Rowe of Alton, Ill.; and two sisters, Ruth Sipple of Marion, Ill., and Gynon Black of Alton. Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with the Rev. Brian Haire officiating and assisted by the Rev. J.W. Haire. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Central City.
